New Girl season five saw the one-hundredth episode, Nick and Jess were still separated and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece made their way down the aisle.
It wasn’t long before New Girl season 7 episodes began to air, and things were tying all the loose ends.
There was a three-year jump between season six and season seven. Nick, along with Jess, came back from a European book tour.
Schmidt was a stay at home dad with his daughter Ruth, and Jess found out coach played by Damon Wayans Jr owes Nick a large sum of money.
To close things off and not to leave any questions, Winston and Aly are married, so it’s only right for everyone else to follow.
Nick marries Jess and to put an end to everything, the loft that has been the place they all felt safe is given up, and they move onto the next phase of their lives.
