What Dashboard Provides Information On CPU Memory And HDD Utilization In Percentage

Since Automation came into existence, tools are flooding the market. One of the leaders is Automation Anywhere, a popular RPA tool used to automate various tasks.

Such software can be the answer to many a question and is used to do precisely that. With this, there is a demand for RPA skills and to understand tool architecture and how to use it for the best effect.

One of the most challenging areas to understand are questions regarding how to get devices following a task from the Automation Anywhere Control Room option.

Here you can learn how to get the credentials required, top failure reasons, work items, and handling errors.

By the end, you should know enough to answer what is asked and select the right options.

The Architecture of Automation Anywhere

The architecture is a distributed architecture and has three components, which work together to accomplish tasks.

  • Bot Creator
  • Control Room
  • Bot Runner.

A Bot Creator and Bot Runner connect to the Control Room, which is the brain of Automation Anywhere.

Bot Creators create bots, which are desktop-based applications that upload or download bots and associate them with the control room.

Bot Runners run or execute scheduled bots.

You can execute multiple bots in parallel, but Bot Runners can’t update or create automation.

This section of Automation Anywhere connects to the Control Room and reports back the status of the execution log.

Control Room is a web server controlling bots and does so with centralized management features like centralized user management, automation deployment, and source control.

When using either edition, you need to log in using the device credentials options.

Dashboards in Automation Anywhere

Dashboards in the Control Room present stats of specific parameters. The following five options are what users encounter most activity.

Home Dashboard: shows users bot run activity status, total queues, bot schedule totals, user total, and bot velocity with any capacity of bots vs bot runners.

Bots dashboard: shows bot heartbeat, MVP bots, bot status, failure, and upcoming bot schedule.

Devices dashboard: focuses on hardware utilization like CPU utilization, memory utilization, HDD utilization, and upcoming device utilization with failure analysis.

Audit – tracks activities or actions from various users.

Workload Dashboard: here are two tabs. Executive Dashboard and Operation Manager’s Dashboard. The executive dashboard visualizes queue status, avg time queue, device pools by the backlog, and queue to completion. (Read Why Is My Computer Taking So Long To Update)

The Operation Manager visualizes device pool by FTE, pools listed by decreasing error rate, avg time queues, and device pools with a backlog.

Insight: Bot Insight provides real-time business insights and a digital workforce.

Activity

Here are three options to check activities.

  • In progress: Checks activity status of the current execution. Details are given of username, bot name, item, progress, and more.

The great thing with Automation Anywhere is the audit log, so error handling can be seen for any of the work items a user sets as criteria.

If the RPA bot can’t find the answer to the question on the web, it times out and informs the user of its progress without writing anything to the file or folder.

Suppose you are looking to learn about using this option. In that case, you need to answer some comprehensive questions about how to use this RPA automation option to command and carry out any following tasks for an end-user.
