HOBOFFICE® - The Archiving System that makes Host Archives available for PCsPRODUCT OVERVIEWHOBOFFICE is a communications tool that allows PCs access to host-based archive systems such as Office (HOBTEXT) from HOB and/or DISOSS from IBM. PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTSHOBOFFICE allows you to process files from the most common PC word processing programs (e.g. Word for Windows or Word Perfect) on a host computer. Correspondingly, documents created in HOBTEXT . can be converted, and then subsequently imported by Word for Windows or Word Perfect for further processing on the PC PRODUCT APPLICATIONSThe communications function allows the HOBOFFICE user to send mail and documents or a combination of both to other HOBOFFICE and HOBTEXT users. Communication is also possible among different hosts provided that these are connected to each other via the SNADS protocol. DOS commands can be entered in HOBOFFICE, thus allowing access to the operating system's functions without having to leave HOBOFFICE. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTSHOBOFFICE runs in a DOS-Box under Windows 3.11, Windows 95 or OS/2. In additon, a 3270-Emulation is required. We recommend HOBLink 3270 oder HOBLink 3270 Compact.
