HOBLIST® - Archiving Host Output
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
HOBLIST is a listings processing, management and archiving program
all in one. Any type of computer listing that is created in batch
processing can be automatically cataloged, compressed and placed
in the HOBLIST archive. HOBLIST can be used anywhere where there
is a need for processing, managing and archiving lists. Thereby
offering an easy-to-use and fast way of checking and controlling
lists. Not only does HOBLIST dramatically cut costs by using considerably
less paper, but in so doing also puts less strain on the environment.
PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
Listing are automatically archived in storage and are easy to
organize. Thanks to the hierarchical system of filing cabinets,
folders and documents, they are also easy to find when you looking
for them. HOBLIST offers quick access and fast searching - even
in extremely long listings. Very little storage is needed to archive
the listings in HOBLIST: listings are automatically compressed
by 60% when they are placed in the archive. Simultaneous access
to the same listing by many users is also possible. All paper
listings can be dispensed with., but if you would like a print-out
of a listing or a part of a a listing, or excerpts from different
listings, all this can be done both on the system printer and
on desk-top printers. If listings are only to be archived for
a certain length of time, they can be assigned a Retention date.
After this date is reached the listing will be deleted. For display
purposes up to 44 screen panels can be stored. HOBLIST supports
all terminal models. Two command languages are available in HOBLIST
HOBTEXT (German) and CMS/TSO (English).The
2 level access security and the 4 level password security assure
a high degree of protection against unauthorized access. HOBLIST
also profits from all the advantages and performance benefits
included in the base module: HOBCOM.

HOBLIST supports all types of listing, and thanks to centralized
archiving, allows many users concurrent access to the same listing..
