HOB RD VPN Replaces the Access Gateway

In certain deployment scenarios, SSL encryption can be made over an access gateway. In such a solution, the clients use the Socks-5 protocol to reach the internal server (e.g., a terminal server) and also to perform load balancing.

The WebSecureProxy in HOB RD VPN can also use SSL encryption and understands the Socks-5 protocol.
Thus, when using HOB RD VPN, servers running software from third parties can also be accessed. On the client, encryption is done with the HOB RD VPN Universal Client .

This has been successfully tested in the HOB laboratories. Anyone interested in learning the details can get them on request from HOB.

With HOB RD VPN one has a central instance for secure remote access to internal servers running any manufacturer's software.
