HOBLink JWT 3.1 - Restrictions, Recommendations and Fixes

Restricted functionality

Clipboard-Sharing under Linux can cause problems for some JVM's. The Easy Print function, due to an error in the Apple JVM (MRJ) cannot be used on a MAC with OS 9 or older. HOBLink JWT is no longer supported for Mac OS 9 or older.

Recommendations

Requirements:
Java Virtual Machine version 1.1 or up (for some platforms, this can be installed with JWT 3.1)
64 MB RAM
150 MHz Pentium (or comparable processor from another manufacturer) or up.

Attention: If you have any trouble installing JWT 3.1 without a JVM (installation is interrupted, "Checksum Error in Release File"), please install JWT 3.1 with a JVM.

Note regarding EasyPrint:

If you have problems with the Easy Print function, please install the current printer driver on the client before trying anything else.
Diskettes or CDs delivered with a printer often contain obsolescent drivers. Usually, up-to-date drivers a can be downloaded from the manufacturer's Website.

Windows Terminal Server

SP4 should be installed on Windows 2000 Terminal Servers.

Fixes JWT 3.1 as of Release 3.1.0018

The fixes are cumulative, i.e., you only have to install the latest one.

Mouse cursors are not properly displayed
