Cadolzburg, January 31, 2006. The German developer of high-standard security and remote access software solutions, HOB, announced today that its proxy server, HOB WebSecureProxy, has undergone and passed Microsoft’s Windows certification program. The procedure follows a rigid technical testing protocol to verify that business critical applications meet the outlined security, manageability and reliability standards when running on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 platform. Testing was conducted by VeriTest, a testing service of Lionbridge Technologies (NASDAQ:LIOX), and the authorized testing provider for Microsoft’s “Certified for Windows” program.
Klaus Brandstätter, President and CEO of HOB commented: “The achievement of the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 certification underlines our commitment to provide our customers with solutions that are easily manageable in large enterprise environments and ensure both smooth and reliable operation.”
HOB WebSecureProxy is the core engine of HOB’s remote access solution HOB RD VPN (Remote Desktop VPN). HOB WebSecureProxy is a 3-tier solution providing highest security standards following a rigid client authentication routine. Designed for installation within a DMZ and to centrally manage all client-related communications with the relevant server, it also provides sophisticated load balancing, encryption and decryption of data as well as data compression, ensuring smooth operation and maximum data throughput at any one time.
“The architecture of our WebSecureProxy is the result of decades of experience gained in developing solutions for IBM Mainframes. HOB WebSecureProxy is based on a powerful transaction program monitor, which guarantees high performance and scalability,” said Klaus Brandstätter, President and CEO of HOB in Germany. “This allows us to offer the market a highly mature product - tried and trusted for decades,” he continued.
