The HOBLink UNIX Edition 99 available as of now includes a number of high performance software applications, which ensure smooth collaboration of Windows and Unix applications. The solution package supports the 32bit Windows platforms Windows 95, 98 and NT.

Consequently this solution includes HOB's efficient X11 Server package, featuring an integrated VT525 Telnet terminal emulation, which is downward compatible to VT52, as well as an NFS Client for access to File Systems of Unix servers. The software distribution Tool HOBLink Distribution completes the package.

Considering maximum user friendliness and minimum training required while working in the X Window environment the software allows Window management using the familiar Microsoft Windows. Besides the integrated FTP and NFS client supports working with Microsoft's Windows Explorer "Look and Feel" and allows access to all NFS servers, such as OS/390, classic UNIX hosts etc.

HOBLink X11, Version 4.6. a major component of the HOBLink UNIX Edition, supports the current standards X11 Release 6.4. and meets all demands made to an X11 today . Additionally the software supports a color depth of 8 bit, HighColor (16 Bit) and TrueColor (24 Bit). This ensures HOBLink X11 can replay video files (AVI and MPG files) and display them with high resolution, which according to HOB Zirndorf is a stand alone feature to make HOBLink X11 outstanding from competitors' software.

The HOBLink UNIX Edition is marketed by HOB's wide spread net of distributors at a price of approximately US $ 375 and is available as German, English and French version as all the other HOB software products.
