Zirndorf, Germany, April 30, 2001. HOB, the German Connectivity specialist, announced today that it would further expand its US subsidiary, HOB, Inc., which was founded in April of last year. Under the guidance of Oliver Graf, who will assume the position of Vice President, Marketing, responsible for new business development, strategic alliances and key account management, the Nuremberg-based company plans to assert itself aggressively in the competitive US/Canadian market.
In the past seven years Graf, in his position as Marketing and Product Manager, was in charge of marketing HOB Connectivity solutions from the headquarters in Zirndorf (near Nuremberg, Germany). Effective July 1, 2001, he will transfer his recipe for success to the North American market.
In addition to his shared responsibilities in the areas listed above, Graf will be entrusted with restructuring the team of ten employees in internal and external sales.
Gerd Janssen, President of HOB, Inc. USA, views Graf as the ideal person for this challenge. “Successfully penetrating the American market requires someone with experience and know how on site who can translate and adapt our strategy for the American market mentality,” Janssen remarked. “With his years of experience in our enterprise, Mr. Graf is the best man for this job.”
The American subsidiary, HOB, Inc., was founded in New Jersey on the east coast of the United States as a key element in the globalization strategy of the German software manufacturer. The USA team consists of a total of 26 employees who are charged with the task of transferring the Germans’ know how and successful service concept to the American continent.
