HOB Goes GlobalBased in Zirndorf, Germany, HOB is broadening its international activities: it has recently founded HOB, Inc. in USA, restructured and expanded HOB S.A. in France, and established resellers in Israel, Canada, Portugal, Sweden. Zirndorf, Germany, June 9, 2000. HOB, the German software developer and connectivity expert, announced today that it will continue to follow its aggressive plan for international expansion. The globalization strategy of the German software developer will be implemented in several stages. As part of the first stage, the American enterprise HOB, Incorporated was founded in April of this year in New Jersey near New York City. Until that time, two resellers had represented HOB in the American market. The USA team, which already consists of 26 employees, has the task of extending the expert know how and successful service concept of the German company to the North American continent, adapting its strategy to accommodate the idiosyncrasies of that market. Gerd Janssen, one of the three HOB executive managers and responsible for the internationalization strategy of the north Bavarian enterprise, commented: “We are already very satisfied with our early success in implementing our expansion strategy in the international marketplace. With the support of our ‘Qualified HOBLink Reseller’ authorization program and including the previously existing HOB subsidiaries, we are already represented in a total of 12 European countries as well as in Canada, the USA and Israel.” In addition to founding its North American subsidiary, HOB is also planning to restructure and further expand HOB S.A. in France, which already has a staff of four. Moreover, in the first phase of its international Qualified HOBLink Reseller Program, HOB has concluded agreements with international resellers in Austria, Sweden, Israel, Canada, Greece, Slovenia, Slovakia and Portugal. HOB subsidiaries have been established in the following regions: HOB Benelux B.V. (Holland), HOB France S.A., HOB, Inc. (USA) .
